Pole Expo 2015
Pole Expo just completed its 4th year and without a doubt this incredible event has grown to become the biggest affair in Pole Dance Fitness. Once a year pole dancers from all over the world come together to share their passion. With about 1500 attendees this year had a spectacular schedule filled with competitions, shows, performances, workshops, seminars, vendor booths, contests, parties, and more. There were 52 vendors, 165 paid workshops, and 61 free workshops and seminars.
Let’s take a look at some of the event’s big highlights, starting with the Pole Classic which was held on Thursday Sept 10. This event was held at the Joint Theatre at the Hard Rock hotel and admission was included with a Pole Expo pass. The night started with a ground breaking Twerk performances by the ladies from ATL’s Vertical Joe’s.
Twerking was followed up by the Pole Classic competition female and male divisions. The level of talent in the house was through the roof and included the reigning PCS Champion Jazzy Alix and big time pole stars such as Hanka Venesaar, and Dakota Fox. The champion of the night for the female division was Maggie Ann, performing her dramatic rendition of Roxanne. The male division winner was Slava Ruza.
Following the Classic Competition was the showcase of the stars featuring amazing performances by Kelly Maglia, Steven Retchless, Oona Kivela, Carlos Franca, and many more.
On Friday, after a full day on the Expo floor, the ladies of Be Spun put on a spectacular show full of sexy, seductive performances also held at the Joint at the Hard Rock hotel. Another star by the name of “Carlos” (aka Bad Kitty® Brand Ambassador Carlie Hunter) graced the audience with his presence showing his sensitive, vulnerable (and always comedic) side. Another crazy hot performance came from Bad Kitty® Brand Ambassador Michelle Shimmy who crawled out of a treasure chest and was accompanied on stage by two shimmery mermaids.
Saturday was a big day for Pole Expo and Bad Kitty®. The Expo room floor was filled with excitement for the highly anticipated Bad Kitty® Fashion Exhibition featuring performances from Bad Kitty® Brand Ambassadors Lindsay Green, Michelle Shimmy, Sergia Louise Anderson, Flying Laura, Sarah Jade, Amy Hazel and more. The Brand Ambassadors were modeling all the new PoleFit® Exclusives prints and styles. The show was hosted by Bad Kitty® Brand Director Mina Mortezaie and ATL Twerk Queen Torwa Joe.
In addition to full performances there was a Fashion CatWalk where all the Brand Ambassadors came out on stage to show off the latest new and unreleased PoleFit® Styles.
The Fashion Exhibition included fun games and giveaways such as the Twerk Contest, Trivia, and Pole Mamas giveaway. For the finale Ms. B Kitty herself, Trisha Stone, came out on the stage to thank all the fans and pose for a photo with all the kitties.
There was no shortage of pole performances during Pole Expo. On Saturday night Suwasit hosted a pole & aerial burlesque showcase off the strip called Birds of Paradise.
By Sunday everyone was pretty exhausted from workshops, parties, late nights, Vegas heat, and the overall excitement of Pole Expo. But it was still Sunday which means there was still time for an epic #SundayBumday photo. Michelle Shimmy lead a Sunday Bumday pic on the Pole Expo stage and then another group of Pole Expo attendees started their own #SundayBumday impromptu photo shoot at the Hard Rock Pool.
Pole Expo was a great success and we look forward to seeing everyone there next year. The team at Bad Kitty® would like to thank everyone who stopped by the Bad Kitty® booth! #BadKittyPride =^.^=
